SATA II vs SATA I

Hey I have a quick and easy qustion for you all.

At present I have a Motherboard and HD both supporting SATA I.

However I'm thinking about another Motherboard that uses SATAII.

Will my original SATA I HD run on the new Motherboard with its SATAII setup?

Yep. I have a WD Raptor 74 GB (SATA-1) running on a motherboard with SATA-2 controllers.

I think a good way to look at it is the way people think about USB... you can use USB 1.1 devices on 2.0 ports... you just don't take advantage of the faster port speed.
