My mother was using our home computer and she typed in the
wrong password several times. Now the computer is locked
out and I do not know how to get back into it.

I bought the computer second hand so there is no real data
on it. I am willing to reinstall windows, but the
computer came with XP pre-installed and I do not have the
cd's for it.

Is there a solution here?

See "How to Log On to Windows XP If You Forget Your Password or Your
Password Expires" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=321305).

I had already tried that. There's only 1 account and it
was Admin. I also do not have a reset disk. Any further
Ideas?

Hi,

Another reason why you should never, ever use the default admin account for
regular use. See if this helps:
