Dual dual-core system?

Is it possible to build a system with say a pair of dual core Opterons?? Kind of like the Quad Mac G5?? Would this basicaly be the highest performance systeam for home use you could build right now, multi dual core cpu's?

yes it is possible since the Opterons are server chips.
As far as highest performance, it depends on what your doing.

Gameing- no
video music editing using multithreaded software- kick ass system.
