When I try to download new email to my Ipaq, I am forced
to create a new email account on the Ipaq, and hence a
new profile is created. That new profile is not
synchronized with Activesync.
How do I download new email to the Ipaq to the existing
Activesync profile?

I asked the same question and it seems you can't - bit stupid I think!

I'm not sure I understand this correctly, but; here's what I have:
1. Outlook from the companion cd installed on the desktop and set
up with my primary email address;
2. ActiveSync 3.7.1 installed on the desktop;
3. One iPAQ 5550 *without* any email accounts set up;
Now as soon as I stick my iPAQ into the cradle it will synchronize
with Outlook and it will get a copy of all the new emails that are
in Outlook on the desktop.
This doesn't work for you, or do you have multiple accounts?
