A GF6800GS or X800GTO would be best bang for buck usually, but they won't be significantly better than your current card to justify the difference, unless you can sell your card for good money.

As such I would suggest you look into deals for the GF7800GT which can be had for under $300 US. The eVGA GT CO would be a good place to look. The X1800XL is also another nice card, but usually for $50 more, which brings down it's price/performance numbers.

That's a start, others can give you there options.

They have good deals on the 7800GT. But no deals on the old X800XL or X850 in AGP.

if your willing to spend around $300 go for a 7800 GT from EVGA (great warranty) or the sapphire x800gto2 depending on your budget

I'm leaning towards a eVGA 7800 GT myself. Not set in stone though. So many choices, so little money.

yea thanks guys ill probaly get the 7800gt,didnt really want to spend more then 200,but the difference between the $200 cards and the $300 is a huge diffrence, might as well spend 100 bucks more, the only thing is when is when i end up buying the 7800 gt another card will probaly come out a bit later on in the year thats much bettter.

yea i was thinking of doing that, its either get 7800 gt or get gto2 and mod,not sure which.

i guess it all depends how much you want to spend... you're getting a lot of card for 200 bucks.
On the other hand you could spend another hundred and get slightly better performance.

Im in the same position, and i think im gonna save a hundred bucks and get a dx10 card when they come out.
