Hi, I'm thinking on getting a major upgrade. But I need to know a few thing.
The new 939 Venice CPU's, if you add memory modules, does the CPU access them at 333Mhz or 400Mhz as when only two is in use?

I have to ask because I herd it today run at 400Mhz somewhere, but need it confirmed, otherwise I have to go for 2x1GB memory modules.

Thanks for answers in advance

Venice (and San Diego, Manchester & Toledo) cores can run 4 sticks at 400mhz. Some mobos still drop the memory speed to 333 automatically but you can override that in the BIOS and set it back to 400. (actually its 200 & 166 but how its shown in BIOS depends on the mobo)

But get 2x1gig anyways if you're buying all new. They can run at 400mhz with 4 sticks, but command timing will be set to 2T, which is a little slower (though faster than 333).
