I am not going back in that hell hole until that wretched CPU forum is cleansed of focking tards. I suggest all other high calibre PC freaks do the same. The place is not the same as it used to be. You may be asking yourself: "What does he know, he has only been here for a few months!" I lurked the forums for a few years actually before I joined, and boy has this place changed. I remember a time when there were real PC experts in here, and they have since left for the same reasons I am. I don't know, maybe it will die down once Conroe is released (hopeful, but doubtful). But seriously, just look at that place: It is clouded with fucking spam and flammers, it just doesn't end.
You can tell me in true Other fashion: "Good ridence!" I know that is coming, it is expected in the Other but to tell the truth there is no other place to post something like this. I'm not bashing the Moderators, but this has gone on long enough. I want a revelation, guys. There may not be much you Mods can do, I don't know, thats not my job to find out. Think about what I have said. Just stop and think for a second, and think why. I don't want this place to turn into some mediocre forum like AnandTech or some other shit heap. This place has higher standards, and if it doesn't it should. Bring the flames, I am ready because I likely will not be here. If it can't be fixed, then I will leave, possibly taking some very valuable members with me (i.e., JumpingJack). I asked him, and he is sick of it too. Notice we don't post near as often.[/Rant]
I used to go up there all the time, help people trouble shoot homebuilt systems and i answered every question and helped people out......but HOW i helped became an issue, so i stopped. When i go back up there its a nightmare, but you want to know the truth of it all.....
They love ever min of this bickering, arguing, and spam/flaming. THEY LOVE IT! How many times are there add seen? how many clicks do they get? how much extra money is brought in by all the people rushing into those forums to flame eachother everyday?
Think about it, when we all get along....fewer posts, which means fewer $$$$'s
lets make the forum as big as possible but not regulate it. The forums at [H] are massive, and yet, VERY VERY VERY well organized. Here...its an arguing mess. But i guess everyone has a business model they want to use.
I think the solution is simple. No one is allowed to create threads until they have at least 200 posts. If noobs want help, they can go into a special noob section and there they can create threads. But anywhere else they have to wait...
The problem is you get some asshat who signs up, creates a new thread, and then never comes back. Half the time the thread is flamebait.
The 200 posts would also "season" a noob to the way things work around here.

But that's just my stupid idea...
the only problem with that, is that: some n00bs are actually needing help with their system and it doesnt allow them a chance to actually create a thread devoted to their problem.
You are about to answer a thread that has been inactive for more than 6 months. If you still wish to proceed, please ensure that your posting is original and does not duplicate or overlap any prior responses to this thread.
