Help! I've been having problems with my system since I decided to upgrade and change cases. What is happening is that I'm getting inital power for about 5-8 seconds, then the power supply shuts down. I still get the power LED on the motherboard, so there is juice, just not long enough to get into the boot sequence.
I'm thinking that I may have a bad front panel switch on the case, which is keeping the system in sleep mode. All else is new (CPU, MB, PS, etc.) and changed on an item-by-item basis to narrow down the problem (good excuse for making some upgrades, but sure is upsetting the wife!)
If that is the problem, is there anything short of replacing the switch or case?
FYI, I'm running an ASUS P4P800-E deluxe MB with a P4 and a 600W PS.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!
