Hi,
Every time I try to reboot computer (Compac Pressario 5000) - screen "601 Standard Diskette Drive Not Detected" shows on the monitor
It wont let me access BIOS set-up (f10)
By clearing CMOS (installing jumper on MB)- will that help or I will get more problems?

Thanks, Casey

Uhhh... Are you pressing the wrong button to access the BIOS (try DEL, F1. F9...)? Do you need to "Press F1 to continue" before you can get into the BIOS or boot the OS?

BTW I have always loved this "Keeyboard not found. Press F1 to continue"

What have you changed if anything?

Doublecheck your connections on the floppy drive. It doesn't seem to be detecting your floppy drive. Clearing the cmos isn't going to hurt anything, but I think it would be unlikely to fix your problem. Does the floppy led on the front light up when you boot up the computer?
