Hey fellas thanks for the feedback. I was on tigerdirect.com and they are giving free games like COD2 and quake 4 with a purchase of the 7800gt lines on some of the cards. Should I just get those? I assume it's the best compared all the other cards I mentioned. What do you guys think?

Okay first thing is first, it really depends on what type of card you need; IE what slot, AGP, PCI, PCI-E.

Now to decypher your list, well your list is rather bad considering your posting AGP cards and PCI express card's, so i think i'll do abit of cleaning up for you.

AGP Cards

eVGA Geforce 6800GS 256-A8-N387-TX 256MB

BFG GeForce 6600 GT 128MB

Jaton nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT Video Card 128MB

Out of the three AGP cards, i would definitley choose the eVGA 6800GS
I'd also like to make a note that XFX also has a AGP 6800GS that cost's $4 more (Newegg prices) than the evga 6800GS, but the XFX card has a higher memory clock.

PCI-Express Cards

eVGA GeForce 6800 GS 256MB

BFG GeForce 6800 256MB

Leadtek nVIDIA GeForce 6800 256MB

Leadtek GeForce PCX6600GT Extreme 128MB

Leadtek PX6800 GT TDH 256MB

PNY Verto GeForce 6800 GS 256MB

XFX nVIDIA GeForce 6600GT 256MB

XFX GeForce 6800 GS XXX Edition 256MB

NVidia GeForce 6600GT 256MB

I'd first to state that any 6600 series card with 256MB worth of video RAM is a waste of money as it has little or no noticble performance benefit. Now if you did your research before making this thread you would of known that a 6800GS card perform's better than a vanilla 6800 and 6800GT, and even outperformed a 7800GT in like one or two games. Now for my choice out of this list: XFX GeForce 6800 GS XXX Edition 256MB.

Now for your later post you asked, if you should just get a 7800GT, of course you should, just know that free game + more performance = higher price. As to tigerdirect, i have to say that site suxorz when it comes to pricing as they are almost always higher than their competitors. Go with newegg or zipzoomfly, just remember to compare prices with shipping too rather than jsut the manu. price.

bah damn was looking at wrong card, i meant it outperformed the 6800GT.

the 6800GS comes in at about 10-25- fps lower than a 7800GT and the 7800GS comes in at about 1-15 fps higher than 6800GS.

If You Have The $$ Id Reccomend The 7800GT Like Mine (Look Below) You Can Get Them For Round $300.00 (Just A Suggestion) And They Will Run ANYTHING At High Res. With Maximum Detail No Sweat (And Just Look At The Overclock On My Video Card).... But Thats If You Run PCIe

Um, no it won't. You must be thinking about the 7800GTX 512MB instead. Try Fear and COD2 at 1600x1200 everything maxed out and see if it's "No Sweat" for a 7800GT.

Unless it manages to beat out a GTX, it isn't going to max out those games.

First of all I wont' spend no 800 bucks for a graphics card 7800 or 7900 gtx 512mb. That's just ridiculous. NO games at the moment can support that type graphics. 7800gt is just good for now. I mean really it's not too much of a difference in my opionin. Especially for how much it cost. Unless you got money to burn.

Interesting... I have a X1800XT, FEAR and Quake 4 are like liquid also... :p

OK OK so it will support it, but's it way too much mula. If I could afford it I would get the 7800gtx 512. Or is there something Higher than that? I think there is.
