Hi,

Would it be possible to remote control a native XP Professional
desktops using a Citrix Metaframe XPe server, to connect to a user
using XP Pro running the RDP client.

Failing that would I be able to logon onto a Citrix Metaframe XPe
server and then connect to a Terminal Server in Remote Administration
mode and then using the Terminal Server Client connect to a user using
XP Pro running the RDP client.

Thanks

Steve

While all this is possible, why make such a long detour?
You can remote control XP Pro from XP Pro or W2K Pro.
What exactly is it you want to control? The XP Pro desktop, or the
rdp session that is running on the XP Pro desktop?

No, I want to access / control the XP Pro desktop using Terminal
Services to connect to the RDP on the users XP Pro PC as a large
majority of the users do not use Citrix. This is to enable a group of
contractors acting as 1st / 2nd line support who are not on the
company's internal LAN to remotely access the users XP Pro PC's using
a Citrix farm as access into the network.

Hope I've clarified this a little better.

Thanks again

Steve

Now let me try to reword that, to check if I understand what you
mean:

Your contractors use an ICA connection to logon to your Citrix
server. Your users use an rdp session to connect to your Terminal
Server. The contractors need to remote control the users.

You can still use both methods, I would say.
Install the rdp client on the Citrix server and remote control the
XP desktop from the Citrix server (this will connect you to the XP
desktop), or connect from the Citrix server to the Terminal Server
and use shadowing from there (this will only give you access to
the rdp session running on the XP desktop).
