Questions about SLI

Hey. I'm sure that you can put two different graphic cards once they can run SLI or crossfire together. Obviously not a sli + crossfire (wouldn't work). But I mean like a geforce 6800 gt and a geforce 7800 gtx. Would that work? I think it would. Another question. Could you use a XFX 7800 GT and eVGA 7800 GT in SLI? Thanks.

You cannot use a 6 series with a 7 series card for SLI. I herad that with the new drivers coming out you can use two different brands of cards, IE EVGA 7800GT with XFX 7800GT. I am not an expert though and am not 100% sure of the second part of what I said with different brands of cards.

You can not use two different GPUs in SLI. However you can use two different brands. Also note that a Geforce 7800 GTX 512 doesn't work with a Geforce 7800 GTX 256.

I use two Evga Geforce 7800 GT COs.
