Silverstone ST60F=POS

What a piece of crap! I ordered the Silverstone ST60F and hooked it up. It burned out my floppy drive. I thought it might be the floppy itself, so I put another one in. It too got burned out. I contacted Silverstone and they said they would send me a new one as soon as they got the old one back. They lied. I shipped them the PSU. Weeks went by and I had to call them back to get them to send me another one. A tech support guy named Joes told me he simply forgot to send me another one.

I got the new PSU the other day and installed it. Well, the fans spin but that's about all. It doesn't have enough power to boot. I disconnected some of the fans and it booted but not every time. What a POS. Oh, and it burned out another of my floppy drives.

I highly recommend their cases, but their power supplies suck.

Did you connect it correclty to the floppy drive? It's often easy to get the pins offset by one position and create a direct short between either +5V and ground or +12V and ground.

Never underestimate my stupidity! :lol: Seriously, it's nearly impossible to plug those in wrong.
