I uninstalled neverwinter nights a long while ago. And now i want to install it again but it says its encountered an error and cannot proceed. Then i look in my add/remove programs and its still listed as an installed program. I try and remove it from the list and it tells me the samething that it did when i try and re-install it again. I am thinking it has something to do with it still be listed as an installed program. But i am not sure. Anyone know what the problem/and solution could be.
I had a problem un-installing something using Windows. I found a program called Add Remove Pro that un-installed it.

Run a search for anything with say? Neverwinter or NWN (I dunno what else it might be called but try variations if yur not getting matches) and delete it.
CAUTION: Messing with yur registry may make u go blind. Or at least u may mess yur pc up. As long as u only delete reg entrys which u beleive to belong to NWN then you should be safe but if yur not sure try asking someone else who knows what they are doing and if in doubt, don't delete.
Have in my time used the above process to reinstall JediKnight and BF Vietnam.

Put CD#1 into the CD-Rom drive, and ignore the auto install menu... close it down... open up the CD and try to double click on some of the .exe files on the cd... I have made games install this way before when a similar error has come up... I cannot say that I have ever uninstalled NWN before... I have reinstalled it, done critical rebuilds, etc., but I do not know... post this question on the Bioware forum as well..
