Have used text editor macros to format the Scenery.cfg file into a
form that Excel SS can open (TXT file).. and then using the SS `sort
function'.. rearranged the entire block. Also straightened out columns
(the order of each line entry) so that they're all uniform.. i.e.
Area.. followed by Layer.. followed by Title.. etc.

The result is.. each [Area.xxx] now is equal to the Layer=x line.

Plus they're all in perfect order and not 209 entries as previously
stated.. only 179 because many had been deleted. Finally.. macros
to parse and add CRLF's back into original form.

What good is this? well proves it can be done.. although not too
easily.. but still less than two hours effort. :) Now the Scenery
CFG is in a SS and can be sorted by ANY column. Will post more
if interested. Tested out OK!!

Have found a utility that will sort and renumber Scenery.CFG

http://www.fs-traveler.com/resources-g.shtml

it's the third link from top.. have tested and works ok.. no GUI but
status boxes pop up with info. would seem to ALSO work with FS2004.
make backup of CFG first.. make TWO BACKUPS just in case.. like:

Scenery(version that works before messing with it).CFG

p.s. sorts Area and Layers.. still not as complete as SS method
