I wanted a mild kick out of my system. I increased the FSB to 220 MHz but left everything else alone. The system now shows the CPU operating at 2.42 GHz. I have been running this way for about three weeks with no problems. Specs are as follows:

Abit KN8 SLI
4400 X2 (now at 2.42 GHz, up from 2.2 GHz stock)
2 x eVga 7800 GT (517 edition)
650W PSU
2 GB Kingston memory (4 x 512 MB sticks)
Zalman 7700 CU CPU cooler (CPU temp is 27 C at idle at rarely rises above 35 C under load)

I am just wondering, am I going to damage my system by only increasing the FSB?

If you just raised the fsb you should take a look at ram speed, it has raised as well. Lower you ram freq to 333mhz with stock cpu fsb; then raise your fsb till it's stable, but keeping the ram freq at 400mhz maximum( may be lower than that, but u'll not notice any difference in performance), otherwise your ocing the ram too, as you are now.
