put it this way, a 9800xt is about as powerful as a x700pro which is between a 6600ddr2 & a 6600gt

ie if u plan to play games, do not bother with a 6200...

If you want the best price/benefit rate for AGP under $150, get an X800 GT...

If you can only afford about $100, get a 6600.

Don't bother with a 6200 unless you don't care much about gaming.

If memory serves me correctly, the 6200 is roughly equivalent to the Radeon 9600, (the PCI-e version is known as the X300) or at best, the 9600pro. (X600pro) The Radeon 9800XT, SM 3.0 support aside, should even hold a slight edge over the GeForce 6600GT, thanks to some other features, most notably its 256-bit memory interface, which makes its RAM bandwidth double that of an equivalent-speed (MHz) RAM on a mid-range to entry-level card like the 6600 and 6200 cards.

If there isn't some other concern at work here, (namely, price) get the 9800XT hands-down. It may be considered a little "outdated" as it's from the 2003 generation, but it definitely holds its own in today's world, and can comfortably run any game out there with most to all of the detail settings turned up.

Actually the 9800 pro slightly outperforms the x700pro and the 9800xt by about 5FPS in most games outperforms the 9800pro. So the 9800XT good performing card

My 256mb 9800 Pro runs HL2 at full detail 1920x1200 (no AA) just fine. Not so great for Doom at medium and 1280x1024, is a bit slow.

Overall, pertty happy with it. HL2 is a much better game than Doom3 :p

But yeah, the 9800XT is well better.

But as mentioned, something like an X800GTO would be best, if you can afford it.
