Good motherboard? SLI not needed

Last response: in Motherboards

What is a good motherboard for the following uses:

Socket 939
Dual core athlon 64 x2 4200+
I don't need SLI

I'm wasting money if I get a SLI board aren't I?

ALSO, do you guys recommend any companies online that make custom pcs. I just got through buying all the products on newegg and the mobo was fried. Kinda would like to just buy a premade with warranty. Any recommendations.

Newegg doesn't ship fried boards. I build custom systems, I'll put one together for you load your copy of Windows XP, and test the thing, for $100. Just have Newegg send the parts here. I don't fry them either.

Aye, SLI is great but I do not believe it is worth it. A single 7800GT should be more than good enough :-)

I also do the same thing Crashman does [ perhaps not as well ;-) ] for $50 USD except I will also load Linux or BSD if you want to dual or triple boot :D

You can simply have the parts shipped here and I will build and test the system and install any proprietary OS ( es ) you might own along with any open source OS ( es ) and software you might want.
