I have a an old DVD rom from 2002. The software is downloaded onto my wiindows 7 with success. (That is, the install software that came with the disc) but then the disc does not open like it did back in 2002. Any help please? What do I need to do that 7 recognises and plays this dvd ROM. Thank you.

the software or its installer might be incompatible with Windows7. If the software or its install is 16-bit code it will not work.
