I am trying to restore my PPC 3955 after losing
everything when the battery died. When I click on
Restore Now (on either my main or guest partnership), I
get the message that "the selected backup file is not
valid."

I'm pretty sure I backed up my files automatically each
time I synced. What can I do to restore my device?

Hello,

The backup files may be in a different location on your PC. Do a search for
*.stg and see if you find the backup file. If you do, point the restore
tool to that directory.

Regards,
