Finally clocked my 2.4 ghz amd 4000+ to speeds of an fx55, of 2.6 ghz...made a bigger difference than i thought..keep in mind im really picky about graphics, and i beleive computer games should run as smooth as consols , so to me 200 mhz made a pretty significant improvement...fron what my hardware sensor monitor tells me, its idleing at 34degrees C and after playing quake 4 it went up to about 44 degrees c...now is that good? what temperature should i stay under so it doesnt over heat? thanks-jim

Under 55 imo. What Vcore are you using? I'd push futher than that if I was you...but saying that I'm uning a water cooling setup. If only my Winchester 3200 wasn't the worst overclocker in the land...only 400Mhz

...but yeah, push futher...faster and harder. :D

im using a amd 4000+ sandiego core. works well. the 200 mhz actually made a big difference in my eyes, when i have ultra graphics in quake 4 on, it runs perfect with my 7800 gtx, except in some small select areas i can see a frame drop, the 200 mhz changed that, every thing runs perfect with the 2.6, no wonder the 200 mhz is 400 bucks more. still wouldnt pay for it. so your saying anything under 55 degrees C is a safe temp?
