I'd suspect that either
#1. it took too long to initialize and build up the selection list
and it got cancelled due to a schedule ending time in Sprite
#2. your 5550 didn't wake up properly
#3. your 5550 got hung up on trying to end processes, and an internal
time out period in Sprite cancelled the backup.
What schedule time did you set? does it have a start and end time?
you could try extending the ending time if so to see if it needs
more time to finish it's task.

I get that message sometimes if I restore a backup from the a few days
previously...then when Sprite goes to back-up next day, the day it has
scheduled to back up is past. Have you recently restored a backup? If I
do, I have to go into Sprite, and reset the scheduled backup settings.

Sounds like the backup didn't complete whithin a reasonable time. Sprite
backup has a log file gets generated evey time it runs, looking though that
may give a little more information to what caused the hangup.
