apart from my machine punching me in the face I have had it all this week!!!! to cut to the chase i have downloaded the latest bios from the asus site remaned it as per insructions on boot pressing alt f2..the file is found but the ststem seems to hang just after it says erasing....... I am guessing flasing a 512k bis should not take 1/2 hour!!!! if i now power off what do i need to do...i decided to update the bios after multiple crashes losing my winxp config sys and deciding on a rebuild with a new hd ....the hard drive is not picked up on post....is there a way of updating or ressetting the bios in the promise raid controller ...... the computer room is a wreck of old drived with corrupted mbrs and a new drive that the mb wont find ...i have chked all sata cables and hd power leads ....HELP!!!
