I read that Microsoft is setting up agents at large retail companies ready to buy every available PS3. Actually Microsoft dedicated enough funds to buy 1 million consoles, so around 500 million dollars. It is true this still means that Sony will sell all the consoles they make, but the money to support the hardware is made by selling games for the system. So when Microsoft buys all the consoles, a few things will happen.
1.) people who do manage to acquire a consol will either sell them for outrageous prices do to supply/demand issues, or trade them in for an Xbox360 or Wii due to lack of support, games, and other people to network to.
2.) Sales of xbox360's will increase substantially because those who want the next generation gamming experience will have no choice but to buy a 360 (or a Wii).
3.) This means that although xbox360's are made at a loss to Microsoft, the increase in sales will increase game sales, which in time will help recover the 500 million dollars used to push Sony out of the market.
4.) Microsoft's stock will be sure to rise with all the increased sales vs plummeting profits by Sony. This will help recoup the costs and also help justify spending soo much money.

You may call this BS because its easy to say "Sony will just make 1 million more consoles". That’s true they can. but if you have not read, they are having a hard time acquiring select parts for the Blue-Ray player quick enough, even to meet the deadline this November. The part in reference here is the blue laser assembly.

This means Microsoft wins (... and Wii). Sony may not push the funds into saving the console when Microsoft has more.

ROFLMAO

So Microsoft is going to massively help Sony by scarfing up their newly released systems, instantly bankrolling them to manufacture more systems at Microsofts expense!

ROFLMAOTT

What the hell are you smoking!

It must be some good stuff!

What a great laugh! I needed that!

Reply to 4ryan6

Excellent! :trophy: Heh-heh, good ole RC.

Reply to Auburn9698

Actually, MS and Sony loose money on every console, they make the money on the games.

Reply to 4ryan6

When are you going to get your first hump in the books, ry? I mean, you know, with an actual woman?

Reply to Auburn9698

I've been married for 15yrs Aubbie, first hump was along time ago! 8)

Reply to 4ryan6

Did you hear Intel was cutting 1,000 of its managers loose?

Man that sucks for those people!

Yes the Red River was flowing, but it finally stopped, so I'm predickting being rode hard and put up wet tonight!

Reply to 4ryan6

I'm good!

Did you know about the Intel layoffs?

Reply to 4ryan6

I think you have spent too long outside in the heat of the New Mexican sun. Do buy something from every telemarketer that calls you? Have you been abducted by aliens? Do you live near area 51?

Reply to zpyrd

Cool.

Nah, hadn't heard. Probably because I'm paying more attention to my POS company's layoffs.

Reply to Auburn9698

Yours Too! Man that layoff crap can really screw up peoples lives if you end up being one of the employees they cut, for what its worth, I hope you keep your job man.

Reply to 4ryan6

You are a f*ucking retard. Have you any idea how illegal that is? Microsoft is known for fighting competitors in the endless appeals system, not initiating B.S. like this. Microsoft would never do something that obvious or sensational. Furthermore, there's absolutely no way Microsoft could get away with buying 1 million PS3 consoles and get away with it.

Quit making shi*t up. We're not as stupid as you look. And if you really did "read" this, you should be eliminated from the gene pool for believing it.

In any case, I hope a N. Korean warhead falls on your house and eliminates you and your entire family. Anyone stupid enough to breed with you deserves to be wiped out too.

comptia rep... riiiiiiight.

I heard on my local news that Disney is cutting it's movie production by more than half, and the same goes for it's work force.

Such a move would actually hurt Sony immensely but:

(to the original poster)
MS would never waste that much money.

You can do a lot more with 600 million dollars than throw them away doing illegal activities in hopes of hurting your competitor.

Like giving away free Xboxes...

Reply to Snorkius

Oohh, a 3am bastage. Thank you, kind sir. You're an alright fellow, regardless of what RobD says about you.

Reply to Auburn9698

Yea, I was up early this morning...... Must have been thinking about AYWF or something..... [shrug]

Reply to RCPilot

you sir are a focking idiot.

go impale yourself on your boyfriends c0ck.

How'd ya like the sports news today? Oh boy...... :?

Reply to Auburn9698

yeah i read about that earlier, heheh.

oh well, we all know it happens...

Reply to mrface

Excellent, as always!!!! I'm full as a fat rat!!!!!

Reply to RCPilot

You have no idea how many smartass remarks I can think of right now....

Reply to WingDing

Given that you're Irish, I'm guessing zero of those, but plenty of dumbass remarks.

Am I even close?

Reply to Auburn9698

Very close, but I'm too busy drooling and soiling myself to pay attention right now.

Reply to WingDing

Yes, there's quite a crowd gathered to watch the spectacle. They're also enjoying the sight of me fisting the late John Candy.

Reply to WingDing

John Candy always draws a crowd. Good choice.

Reply to KingLoftusXII

His lardy, bloated body is just ripe with maggots and other creepy crawlies. I'm in as far as my elbow now and it's just mush in there.

Reply to WingDing

Try a thin one. Ribs make for nice handles. On some you can actually grab
both hip bones without breaking the skin, well, with your fingers anyways.

Reply to KingLoftusXII

I'm waiting for RCPilot to pass away, then I'm going to have fun with his scrawny corpse.

Honestly, he'll probably look more healthy when he's dead.

Reply to WingDing

Wait...you mean he's alive? Odd...

Reply to KingLoftusXII

I know. I would have guessed that he'd kicked the bucket at least a few years ago. He looks like one of those fibrous mummies they find in jars in the Andes. The dodgy old bastard.

Reply to WingDing

*feels vast amounts of bastages cum...er...coming*

Reply to KingLoftusXII

You may have a point. But I'm more concerned about 'the whistling foot of doom'. He sure kicks hard for a mummy.

Reply to WingDing

Sure it hurts, but when his head falls off on the follow through it's sooo worth it.

Reply to KingLoftusXII

If he had big ears he'd look like a dart.

Reply to WingDing

All the 'mummy tape' holds 'em back. Wait...did they have duct tape back then?

*googles*

I think I'm on to something...

Reply to KingLoftusXII

They may have used his gummy earwax to 'blue tack' them back.

Reply to WingDing

Earwax...brown? And sticky?

*looks for Auburn*
