I currently reading up on hardware to make my next purchase.

I am sorta torn between Asus and DFI and have a few questions about some boards and an looking for some input.

I am looking to piece together a 'high end' (imo) gaming rig and have decided on the following.

WD 150g raptor
ATI x1800xt gpu
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) dual chan plat
AMD opteron 165
Creative X-fi xtrememusic sound card

So i am stuck on the Mobo. I have had abit and asus in the past, didnt like the abit since a 'newer' unbugged board was soon released after i got mine..no problems with my asus i have now.

now my questions.

What is the different between the Asus A8N deluxe and A8N premium?

My other Q is about DFI. It seems to the a board for OC'ers, but currently some of the boards have 'bugs' that they are working on? (or so i think i read in a thread here about the expert board). The lanparty series seems pretty large with quiet a number of boards and a pretty wide price range. Any input on this line is appreciated.

Once the system is put together, i do not plan on OCing it for about a year, when the software/games actually catch up to utilizing all the hardware...at that point, i will be looking to OC the system.

seems Asus is for stability, DFI for OCing, from what i gather from reading most mobo threads. and i , along with anyone else, would want stability, but the option to OC in the future.

oh, and if anyone feels i shouldnt go for a SLI board with the ATI x1800xt, please offer an option towards another Asus or DFI.

and input is appreciated.

thanks.
