best value graphics card

I'm looking to buy a graphics card what is the best one i can get in the u.k for under £80 ($150) has anyone got any recommendations?

AGP or PCI-E?

Right now newegg is down ( I use them as a reference)
So I'm going to say either a 6600GT, X800GT or 6800.

All three can be had in the PCI-E or AGP flavors, it just depends on their
price and availability.

The 6600GT seems to be the best bet for low-mid range gfx cards

For PCI express, the best sub $150 card, BY FAR, is the X800 GTO 128mb (also known simply as the X800).

For AGP, the best would be a tie between the X800 GT or the 6600GT.

The best budget AGP card I have used is the Radeon 9600Pro made by Saffire.

That is not even a real 9600 pro. It is clocked 400core /466mem and a real 9600 pro should be clocked 400/600. Matter of fact, it's getting hard to find a 9600 pro without crippled memory speeds of 400, 446, 466 MHz.

Anyway, while for a long time the real 400/600 clocked 9600 pro was a decent card, it is getting weak for todays games. I'd like to see a gamer look for a used 9700 pro instead. Anyway, All the other cards being mentioned up above are so much better than the 9600 pro.

I can't provide any UK links, but I'll add I fully agree with Cleeve here. The X800GT or GF6600GT, (I'll add the X700 pro and GF6800le) will be your best AGP options to look for. IF these cards are all too expensive where you live, then next down would be a Radeon 9800 pro 128MB 256-bit card, followed by a Radeon 9700 pro 256-bit would be your next options. A plain X700 or GF6600 would be next, and hopefully you do not have to go below that.
