Hello,

I am about to order an Athalon 939 X2 processor for my ASUS deluxe SLI MOBO.

The board is still new in box. I have question about ordering CPU.

Will an Athalon CPU come with the heatsink, fan, and everything else I need to assemble?

Is it good? Should I consider upgradeing it if it comes with the CPU?

Basically, if I order a CPU does it come with everything I need ot install onto the MOBO and get up and running? Or will I need to buy somthing else?

Retail AMD CPUs come with an OK but not great heat sink and fan which work fine if you are not going to do significant overclocking.

It also comes with very good instructions on how to install.

Cooler uses a thermal pad so you don't need any paste with the stock cooler.

A Zalman CNPS9500 is a great cooler, I installed one for someone and got stock cooler temps when the CPU was 10% overclocked.

I have a Zalman reserator water cooler myself but it is very expensive and more for low nosie than overclocking.
