The GTX is a long card, in my friends case it touches the hard drive racks, and thats a mid-tower! I'm ganna have to hand it to Gigabyte on this one.

im guessing you dont lan because i wouldent carry that expensive of a card around. you shouldent have a problem with video cards unless it longer than you motherboard my 6800gt fits in my super lanboy fine.

nope, no lanning for me.
the super lanboy case justkinda looked nice and compact :-/
but i suppose if it's just chilling maybe bigger would be better.
esp. with a big card

i would suggest getting the gigabyte with the mesh on the side so the card ca take in fresh air from the side and exhaust hot air from the side or if you really want a windowed one the i would suggest getting a coller that exhausts the hot air out the back of the case.

the mini tower case may run hotter than the full tower one with a 7800gtx in it, a full tower case can normally house more fans so itll have better airflow than a smaller case, making it a little cooler than a mini tower... so if ur thinkin bout overclocking at all get a bigger case, and since you dont lan theres nothing really stopping u from a full tower

i suppose ur right but most of the time the bigger cases offer better cooling... by the way, dont u think its time to upgrade that crazy fast pc of urs :p... the ones at my school are faster!

I have the Antec Super LANBoy case... i'm running a DFI Lanparty UT nf3 board, with an AGP Radeon 9800 Pro card... i have about 3 inches between the edge of card and the edge of harddrive rack...

i believe the radeon 9800 pro from ATI is 188mm long, and the distance from slots to harddrive bay is 265mm...

the evga gf7800gtx is ~230mm long... it'll fit, leaving you approximately 35mm of clearance (inch and a half)...

if you get the super lanboy, get a slot cooler to help cool that GTX down... i think in the long run you'll be extremely happy with it :) you'll save money, too, so buy yourself some nice lights to accent everything ^_^

good luck with your decision

cheers - Mark

Haro,

I have the SuperLanboy.

Pros:
2x 120mm Fans
Easy Install
Fits under the desk.
Full length cards fit (single/ SLI).
Quieter (even with Evga 7800 GT CO)
Light Weight

Cons:
Kind of tight for a full mobo. I just simply mounted the cpu and Thermaltake Silentboost. Then grabbed the hsf by the fan literally and guided the mobo into the case

PSU with lots of wires like the Antec Tru550 may get in the way of the 1st DVD drive.

Modulars maybe difficult if you do not mount the wires ahead of time otherwise the gap between the dvd drives/ PSU will become small for some people's hands.
