I plan to upgrade my RAM, and i want at least a 1 GB

the computer came stock with two sticks of generic 256 MB of RAM.

what would be my best route? Should I just throw away those two generic pieces for some DECENT ones? Or should i just add more memory to what i have now? I thought that sometimes if you add more RAM, it could possibly make it slower. thats why i want to toss the old ones in exchange

thanks

(im currently using a P4 533 MHz processor, so I am limited to DDR 333. This is my motherboard)

Get 2 x 512MB or 2 x 1GB value RAM and add to your system. You'll get decent 1.5GB or 2.5GB. Have fun.
