Is this the group to ask questions about setting up VNC-server behind a firewall?
If so: I can't get it to work.
I did spend a whole day to figure it out but no joy ...
I know I have to do port-forwarding to my local network, so I did.
I point to the WAN-IP-adress on port 5800
Still no response from the VNC-server

Easiest way is to set up a VPN connection to the remote
network (see, this is a good group to ask after all).
That will give you a LAN IP, i.e. you'll be participating
in the remote network. Then you can point your VNC viewer
to the local IP, e.g. 192.168.1.X. No port-forwarding, no
"pinholes" in the firewall, just smooth sailing.
