I have a pair of XMS2-5400UL RAM modules from Corsair which keep showing up as PC2-4300 in the bios boot messages when the computer is booting up. This clearly happens before windows XP begins booting.
Im assuming the fix to this problem may require a BIOS update. And even if it doesnt't fix the problem, is still want to update my bios.
The problem is that Asus doesn't give any instructions on how to update the BIOS in the Asus/Support/Download page for the P5WD2.
All it does is allow me to download these two files:
- WD2B0301.ROM
- AFUDOS.EXE
But i have no idea what to do with them. I try running the AFUDOS.EXE, but nothing happens. So im totally clueless and i dont understand why Asus doesn't provide installation instructions.
