Hi. Amd Athlon 64 socket 939 CPUs have 2000 MHz FSB right? Do I need a motherboard that supports 2000MHz FSB too, to use all of the CPU's FSB?

If a motherboard only supports 1000MHz FSB, is it gonna only use half of the CPU's FSB?

2000Mhz is not really the actual bus speed... that bus rate is split into 4 parts using quad-data rate so the FSB is only 250Mhz or 200Mhz. what matters is you should match the kind of core that the mobo can support w/ your CPU's core.

So a motherboard like A8N-Sli or A8N-E supports venice core right? I think they support any core of Athlon 64s.

For example some websites say that A8N-E supports 1000MHz bus speed, but Athlon 64 socket 939s all have 2000MHz of bus speed, I was afraid of that 1000MHz would be unused. After reading at a random forum, a guy says that with Hyper Transport, Amd's CPUs run at double speed. So a motherboard with description of 1000MHz bus speed and supports Hyper Transport Technology, it is the same as saying this motherboard supports 2000MHz bus speed. Is this correct?
