Hey, folks,
Just put a new 40GB hard drive in my HP PC, and no longer have the
printer driver for USB communications with my Deskjet 930C.
Downloaded a driver off of HP's website, but the directions refer to
hooking up the USB cable by following the directions on the Quick
Start Poster, which is long gone.
Anyone out there have the secret? HP wants $30 + tax to help me out
(isn't that considerate?).
Yours,
Willy G.

It's not a secret...try searching HP next time:

There you can download all the PDF documents for the 930c printer.

It's real simple. Run the setup program you downloaded. At some point,
it will tell you to plug in the printer. That's it.

Just remember to NOT plug in the printer until the driver is
installed. If you do it early, Windows can sometimes get confused.

The original poster was using Win98. I don't think it came with
support for the 9xx series. I think Win2K and then WinME were the first
with basic drivers.

Good catch Andrew, I missed that. Do you know if there is a list
available somewhere that shows what printer drivers were included in 98SE?
