Hello I'm having a problem finding the 1394 plug on the Asus A8N-E motherboard... can anyone link a labelled picture of the mobo? I've been searching for hours for one.

Also, my case is a Coolermaster Centurion 5, and has a wire with a plug labelled AC97 and then at the end is a bunch of single pin wires. Am I right in thinking these are for the on-board sound? If so do I even need to worry about them since I'm installing a fatal1ty sound card?

Thanks for any help!

the manual maybe ?

Right, because I took the time to make this post without consulting with the manual or looking it over 100 times. Now that the sarcasm is out of the way, anyone have a real answer to either of these questions?

What a snotty nose stupid reply to someone who was trying to help.

The reason you do not find it on the mobo, and the reason it is not
mentioned in the the manual, is because this ASUS mobo DOES NOT
come with 1394 connectors nor support.

" Am I right in thinking these are for the on-board sound?"

Yes...the wires will be to allow mb integrated sound hookup to a case's front panel mic/headset output, typically, but you can simply remove them since you are using a sound card...
