I have a Plextor 716SA SATA in my system now and through many reformats WinXP 32bit has never once recognized it has a SATA it just thinks its the 716A.

Well fast forward to now and I'm getting a DFI NF4 UT SLI DR Expert mobo and was looking and drivers (to update as I get it) and it mentioned something about SATA Burner drivers for floppy to use at F6 when installing?

So do all SATA burners need to have a floppy when installing windows to work right as a SATA?

Is RAID enabled?
Disable RAID and don't load drivers because nforce4 don't need any, except for RAID.

Unless you plug the DVD on the onboard controller ...Sil, which may not work..

You have any clue about the controller you are using?

well backward...

716SA is not officially compatible with nforce4 native controllers.
( could be fixed now maybe with an update )

silicon image controllers is the way to go with them, and it could be working.

note that the a8n-sli was listed to be plugged with "unknows controller" and i think it could be an added pci controller as a8n-sli ( non-dx non-pm )
has no added sata controller.
