New 2gb memory causes my computer to reboot

I just bought new memory sticks, namely 2 x 1gb Twinmos Pc3200.
To my (limited) knowledge, they should be fully compatible with my motherboard. And initially, it works just fine. However, as soon as I start a more demanding programme (games etc.), the computer soon reboots.

What could be causing this?

Could it be the case that I need to make changes in the bios or something, now that I've gone from 512mb to 1gb ram?

Could it be that I now suddenly need a stronger power supply? My current psu is a 300W. (And my system consists of a Amd Barton 2500+, GeForce 6800LE and a 80gb harddrive)

Or is it possibly the case that I've put the memory sticks in the wrong slots? There are three slots, and I don't know how I'm meant to put them, or even if that's something that matters...

As you guys can see, I don't know much at all. Therefore, I'd be very happy if you could help out.

Thanks!

Well Id Say The Possible Causes Are....

1. Tha RAM Is Faulty
2. The RAM Is Running Above Spec (Unintentionally Overclocked Due To Ither User Error Or Motherboard RAM Detection Mis-Calculation)
3. An Odd Incompatability
