Hi,

I have got a big problem with the above mentioned software.
I tried to install it with the MSN Installer, but during installation my
machine crashed.

Afterwards, since nothing worked I tried to deinstall it which was not
possible and ended with an error "Remove plugin failed." This error caused a
rollback of the uninstall process so far making it impossible to uninstall
the software cleanly.
Reinstalling is not possible either and ends with a similar message (some
error with some plugin - not named precisly).

The biggest problem: My whole networking is not working anymore. After
startup it takes about 2 minutes until I see the little computers in the
taskbar indicating network activity, but even then I cannot use it.
Something is really broken here, issuing a ipconfig on command line results
in NO output (only the wors Windows IP configuration are displayed).

What can I do !??!

Thanks.

Hi,

I have gotten the same problem. Tried to install Cisco VPN client - the machine crashed. Now I am not able to install it, because the installation stops with the message "Add Plugin Failed", and then gives me an error code 1722, something wrong with the installation files...(there is nothing wrong with the installation files!).

Have anybody solved this before?

Thanks a lot

Regards

Hello,

You can try to open up Network Connections and the connections entries for your Local Area Connection. One will have your NIC as a description there may be another with the Cisco Systems VPN adapter listed as the description -- Delete both of those.

After that use the Network setup wizard to setup the LAN connection again and restart once you have completed this.

Heres a link that can walk you through the network setup wizard.

*** BE SURE TO RESTART AFTER USING THE WIZARD BEFORE YOU TRY TO INSTALL THE CISCO VPN SOFTWARE AGAIN***
