u know how it should say in CPU-Z that it is a venice core or whatever....mine says NOTHING>>...eventhough i ordered a venice core.

Any other ways to check what core this is?

IT IS A STEPPING 2.

Thanks

The difference between your chip and my Winchester is SSE-3. If your chip has SSE-3 it isn't a Winchester.

If you think your chip is not a VENICE what do you think it is instead?

Thanks

O well ill just assume that i have a venice 8) since its overclocking pretty nice at 2.4Ghz at 1.488 v :D

Try looking at the identification number on your processor:

So i have to take my heatsink off and actaully look on the CPU itself?

i worked out the stuff ont he website so heres what i got

ADA 3200 D I A 4 and dont know my part definition

It Could Very Well Be An Accidentally Released Newer Model (Newer Than The Venice) That Was Mistakenly Release Before It Was Certified That Can Be A Very Good Thing (Possibly Super Overclockability And More!) Mabey Im Being Optimistic But Its Been Known To Happen And Has Happened Before

woah... sounds coOL.. 8)

my chip says SSE, SSE-2

is it VENCIE?

THE BEST WAY TO KNOW WHAT PROCESSOR YOU HAVE IS TO TAKE IT OUT AND POOP ON IT!! DERR DA DERR!!! YAY!!

LMAO>....NOT a good one

Where does it say SSE and SSE2? If you are talking CPU-Z, makes sure you have a ver, that supports SSE3. If it still doesn't show SSE3, you do not have a venice core. If it's a 90 nano chip, without SSE3, it's a winchester.

no i checked on the prime 95 and it said sse2 but then when i checked on CPUZ it syas SSE3...i think it is a venice core...

But there was screenshot on some review on venice core 3200+ with CPUZ running and it said "ext.MODEL 2f" but mine says 3F also the screenshot said the stepping was 0 and mine's 2....

THE SCREENSHOT:

...and thats the only difference is aw in the picture...what do ya think ?

Reply to style69

Can't access that picture. If you have to know for certain, get the processor stepping off the processor itself. If you are too lazy to do that, try overclocking to 2.7 as the 130nm winchesters will top out at 2.5.

no i checked on CPUZ and it says SSE3...its confirmed its a venice.....

Reply to style69

well in that case start cranking up those clock speeds =) it runs so cool 2.8 is easy on stock HSF
