My intention is to synch in one direction (i.e., any conflicts resolved
in favor of PDA). Had been working fine.
Recently installed Spb Pocket Plus and have noticed something I don't
understand.
Modified my Pocket Excel Daily Tasks file (on PDA) last night (planning
for today). Noted that upon synching, it did not change PC Excel file.
Didn't see any need to pursue it.
Today, I find that the Pocket Excel I changed last night is not what I
got this morning. It is the file I changed last night. This is of
significant concern.
Any ideas?
If I did a soft reset before closing the modified Pocket Excel, would I
lose the modifications?

If you hard reset while the spreadsheet was open, then yes the changes would
be lost. If you hit the OK and even got back to the Excel file list the
changes should have been written. Certainly any farther than that. Any way
you closed it using Pocket Plus would have committed the changes as well.
Only soft resetting while the actual Spreadsheet would have lost the
changes.
You can not sync in only one direction. The options are there only for
conflicts. That means you change something on the PPC spreadsheet, and on
the PC spreadsheet between syncs. In your case, opting for the PPC, if you
make a change on the desktop copy between syncs and don't make a change on
the PPC copy, the desktop change will overwrite the PPC. And it overwrites
the entire file, it doesn't just merge the change.
