I'm putting together a new High-end Dual Core, SLI setup, in most likely a TT Armor case. I read pretty good reviews about the OCZ Powerstream 520W PSU on Newegg, but wanted to get a little more expert opinion before I pulled the trigger. I know everyone has an opinion on one brand or other, so what I am really looking for is a more technical opinion or a testimonial from folks who actually own one and why they made the decision they did. Thanks, Rob

this is just my opinion but I would, under no circumstances put anything made by Ultra in my case, if you are talking about the ones sold on tiger direct, they are not very good power supplies. any ocz unit would be a much better choice, as well as any Antec, Fortron, Seasonic is pretty good, Tagan, PC Power and Cooling. Stick to one of those if you ask me...

I have built many a system with OCZ PSs, they have an amazing warrenty, just walk into a local office with a broken power supply and walk out with a new one .. no questions asked. Also you might consider Antec or Enermax powersupplies.

DO NOT buy an "Ultra" PS .. they are garbage ...

I have an Ultra PSU 500W X-Connect I got it on tiger and have been running it for a year no problems. But as for the OCZ's there nice I have two friends with the same one i'm not sure on the model, but there pretty cool one has had his for a year and a half the other one got his for christmas. Both have had no problems on them and the ones they got have lights on the back that show if the voltages are in good limits.

If your running a DFI mobo then DfI street recommends OCZ powerstream series 520w and 600w. These PSU's are renound for quality and tight rails, along with PC power and Cooling.
The OCZ 520w @ newegg runs 139.99 which ain't bad for a high quality PSU

Enermax, Fortron source, Antec, Seasonic are the PSU's I would stick with.
Personaly I stick with OCZ, and PC power and Cooling although I do have a Fortron source FX600 which is a great PSU, nice tight rails

I think OCZ puts out a neat looking 600w PS for 199.00. I want to say I saw it on frozencpu.com. If you wanted to spend that much though. But to answer your question, OCZ imo, puts out a great PS.
