I was looking for a way to get my DIY Projector I'm working on to accept composite input from another source like an xbox or such. Right now my only option is to go with the Viewsonic N6, but it costs $175. I wasn't sure if any video card out there was able to accept composite and then run it through the VGA? Otherwise I have a possible option to get seperate transcoders for each input. I can get the Component for $50. But I will also need composite and RF coaxial for TV.

I didn't really expect much of a miracle from video cards to support that. Its just so damn expensive to get anything but vga or dvi to work on a monitor. I believe its a combination of resolution scaling and frequency assigning, as far as my reading has led me. Thanks though. I'm going to probably just go with the N6 then.
