I have a small (1.3) drive on my laptop I only use for
travel.

Can I SAFELY uninstall Windows 98 (or 95, but I would
prefer to keep 95 as my laptop says that's what I should
use)?

When I am looking around at what programs are installed in
this computer, I see BOTH 98 and 95 are there and the
extra one is taking up a LOT of space that I could be
using for other things.

Is there a guru out there who can assure me I would not be
compromising my personal information by uninstalling the
extra Windows program?

Thank you SO MUCH!

Patti

if you uninstall win98 you may loose some of the apps that you had
installed after you upgraded your win95.
you may be safer merely uninstalling your win95 files from the control panel

What exactly are you seeing when you look around the disk? It's not likely
that you have both 95 and 98. It's more likely that you have 98 but you also
have a backup of 95. In that case you can either remove the 95 backup (in
add/remove programs) or you can 'uninstall' 98, which will restore 95 for
you.
