Here is a real tough mouse problem. I have an old 95
system that while on does not show the mouse cursor,
however if you click on either right or left button
depending on where the mouse should be will execute the
proper command. Also when in Notepad (full screen) the
cursor will appear in a strip from top to bottom on the
far left side of the monitor but only in width of 1/16
inch.
Thanks
John

That sounds more like a video adapter driver problem than a mouse problem.
Make sure you are running the correct video adapter for your OS and your
hardware. Check whether there's a newer version available. Change you
pointers..

I would do the Safe mode clean out detailed here:
http://www.pcbuyerbeware.co.uk/Image2.htm

Download the 95 driver for the video card from its
manufacturer's site.

Completely remove all duplicate devices (all of the
instances) and remove the mouse and video (display
adapter), rebbot and allow Windows to reinstall the
drivers.

Then install the video card's driver file.

Look in the Device Manager to make sure that the correct
video card make and model appears.

You can use the standard Windows mouse driver without any
problems.
