Can you hear sound if you plug in headphones? If so push them in and out a
couple of times. The mechanical switch that cuts off speaker sound when a
headphone jack is inserted has been known to stick, on many PPCs.

Thanks, I can hear it through the headphone and the problem started when
I started listening to Audiobooks through Audible. Anyone know where a
schematic of where this switch is? I bought my PDA off Ebay so I
sispect that HP will shaft me on support.
