Hi all,

Does anyone have experience of the Thermaltake SHARK case?
If so how would you rate it for noise?

I plan to put 1 HDD, XFX 7800 gfx and standard AMD supplied cpu
cooler on an Althon XP 3700. PSU is Seasonic S12 500Watt

Many thanks

I don't think you should waste all your money on a case, You could get a full liquid cooling 8) system for only $99!

Thanks Monster,

Sounds like you have this case :) Can you comment about the open grill
on the left side of the case. Aside from a the potential for taking in
unwelcome dust, can you comment if it leaks a lot of noise? i.e. should
it be covered with something like plexiglass?

Many thanks

Those "Prescott" mandatory ventilation ducts/holes have become hard to avoid haven't they? :)

My suggestion, position your cpu fan to pull warm air off the cpu. The case has a 120mm exhaust, so warm air from your cpu exists the case very efficiantly. Plus, most PSU have 2 fans, (1 intake, 1 exhaust) so that also helps pull warm air outside the case.

You could install acoustical foam inside the panels as well.

Otherwise, I suggest you look at the Lian Li PC 7-plus. It also accomondates front/rear 120mm fans... w/o the Prescott ducts

Check out the Antec P150. I got one about a month ago and it is very quiet. The Neo PS is also silent. It comes with a 120mm in the back and can accomodate 2 92mm fans up front. It also has the accoustical paneling on the side, rubber bands to suspend the HD and prevent vibrations and wire/cable management built in to keep the case tidy.
