Now that's what I call creative thinking. Leave it to Valve to come up with something new and interesting.

Yeah, i think the trailer is just a "tech demo." From what I know, Valve has only recently finished work on the engine and concept. Now it's time to build the game... :-)

No worries, HL and HL2 have the best stories and gameplay in FPS history. I expect nothing less from "Portal."

I don't know.... It looks like it does some cool stuff..... I'd have to play i a bit to see how it was.....

Reminds me of the Rock, Paper, Sissors thing. This guy from Alabama was there trying to win because he fell through his trailer's floor 3 times this year and needed the money to buy a home for his wife and four kids.

I wondered why he was sitting in the bar drinking beer if he can't afford to fix his trailer's floor.

It's probably an improved version of source. I can't see valve wasting all their time and money to build a completely new engine when source is almost as good as the next engine... HL2 still looks amazing and it's been out for almost 2 years.

as for portal yeah it looks mint, i imagine that the gun would be limited to the end of the game simply to stop it from getting boring same way they did with the gravity gun(believe it or not it does eventually get boring), so i imagine it would be like a special gun near the end of the game and/or not needed much.

Yeah I do know what you mean. I was going to have something different but Chief was easy to scale and enhance so used him.

I'm playing SS2 right now..... Started it back up a couple of weeks ago..... I love to run & gun & that game has got it.... Well, all the SS series does....

I like PK for the same thing as well......

Get the PK Gold.... That gives you both releases.... It didn't get rated real high & is darn cheap last I looked at the store.... If you like SS, you'll like PK...

I have the whole SS series... I haven't loaded the first SS in quite awhile, but I liked it when I played it as well as SS2...... Second Encounter is also good....

I'm not the type of gamer that likes to look hard to find things..... Let it come to me & I'll take it out.... Blast away & blow things up!!!!
