the x800xl will be replaced by GTO's with its 16 pipe and of course the mad OC ability.

The X800XL is the model up from the X800GTO.
 It has 16 pipelines already
 400 MHz core x 16 pipelines = 6.4 Gpixel/sec
 490 MHz x 256 bit Video RAM = 31.36 GB/sec

The X800GTO only has 12 pipelines as the same core speed, for 4.8 Gpixel/sec, without overclocking or trying to unlock pipelines, or doing anything else with high potential risk of failure.

You'd need a 475 - 540 MHz core with only 12 pipelines to compete with a 400 MHz X800XL :P

The X800GTO's are getting re-armed with the R430 core that is 16 pipe ready. Well, the speed is not as fast but you can up it with no problem. The reason i suggested the GTO is because it will replace the XL, meaning the XL will be discontinued since the GTO does the same for less. This is like the 6800GS and GT.
