Sorry Again , but is it wise to upgrage my 6800 128mb to 7800gt or it is better to upgrade my cpu (AMD 64 3000+) into AMD Dual core ?
wich one makes more differents in Huge Games Like Call of Duty 2 , Or FEAR Or Quake 4 ?
Please Help ,
and another question is that why i cannot play FEAR in 1024x768 +4XAA ? (the frame rate is too low at max detail ) (the same goes through call of duty 2 )
I will be thank full for your help

Dual core doesn't help in those games, and sometimes hinders performance;

Even when there is benifit, it's not as much as a GPU would offer if you like AA, it ends up kinda being like SLi/xFire as to what sees a significant benifit some do some don't;

IMO simply OC your single core ( be sure you have good cooling/airflow) and you're be better off with no expenditure for the CPU, things like AA are very VPU dependant. Of course both would be nice.

Anyways the GF7800GT is a good value, you won't be dissapointed until a while later, when everyone is dissapointed (that's just life in the computer hardware world)

If you are going for top performance go for the x1900xtx, it is cheaper than a 7800GTX 512, and it is 200 bucks cheaper.

well games like the ones u just name are starting to get dependent on the video memory

going for the 1800 XT 512mb wouldnt be a bad choice

Because no matter what you buy, in time better stuff will come along and games will come out that it can't play well.

Re-read my quote, understand what I'm saying... it's just like everyone else, every other option.

Is the Buggatti an awesome car, will it eventually be surpassed? YEs on both counts. That's just technology and time.

The GF7800GT is a great buy, if you wait you will not get a better chance than now until the G71 or maybe the G80/R600 come out.

What Kind Of issues ?
With MSI mobo or Graphic Card ?
Tell me please b4 i buy !!!

don't listen to him, MSI make good products. If you want to get an ABIT motherboard, that would be as good or better. But continue with your ideam its a good one.

EVERY MSI product i bought went up before the waranty ended - P3 boards, a CDBurner, overheating video card. All the mobos died (intel and via chipsets for P3/coppermine), one got replaced 4 times in about 6 months before the company got sick of it and got me an ASUS board (old stock), video card (GeForce4 Ti) had overheating issues - had to buy a new hsf, and the cdburner toasted cds (if you could get it to detect the blank cd) and to burn another cd you had to restart the system, before totally not picking up cds.

Check the THG forums - every time someone cant get an AMD Athlon64 system going theres always an MSI board in the middle of it.

Its either iv had really serious bad luck with em, or there products are absolute garbage.

On the other hand iv had ASUS and Gigabyte boards that wont die - fast and solid, and beyond older then the MSI's iv owned, my ASUS P2B (i440BX, Slot1), Gigabyte GA5AA (ALI AladdinV for socket 7) - still runing even today and for years to come.
