unless you have som scores to post for this graphic card, BACK OFF, there are a lot of 'amazing' things to say about X800, so dont be the smartest guy.ALL I asked were some scores, if enybody would be so kind to actualy post the score he go i would apreaciate him/her.Every single company tests the graphic card and gets diferent scores using different drivers, but again, the only ones I trust is users, so...make me happy

Ignoring the wannabe jewb's GeneticWeapon and illicistsc, my single 6800GS PCI-E gets 6,200 3D05, and SLI gets 10K 3D05. BTW, x800GTO sux, shoulda got a 2, least you can unlock pipes on 2, looks like "GeneticWeapon" is a Genetic Mistake. oo diss.....

3dmark scores mean didly squat. Sure you can search the orb for looks like mud performance over quality tweaked scores, but what's it mean compared to playing Fear, Farcry, HL2, SPCT, NFSMW, at the best IQ and framerates possible.

If you want real info, forget asking fanboys for 3dmarks scores of their cards, or how the card games even. You trust Joe Smo (my cards the bestest of all) more than the review sites? It's amazing how many 6600GT owners claimed to run NFSMW at 12x10 max details (smooth as silk) over on the EA forums; Which is something a 6800U is far from able to do.

The 6800GS AGP is clocked lower than the PCI-e verison; so it performs slower also. Look at the Asus v9999 GE as it has the same specs as the 6800GS AGP. You can see it seems to be half way between a plain 6800 and a 6800GT, whereas the high clocked PCI-e 6800GS comes close to the 6800GT. But as far as AGP, the X800 pro and X800GTO should perform better out of the box than a 6800GS.

Pauldh: "But as far as AGP, the X800 pro and X800GTO should perform better out of the box than a 6800GS."

Because you've personally used all 3 of those cards, that's how you know. (you're an idiot).

ı totally agree with you, those cards only support shader 2.0b but 6800 3.0 with a little overclock 6800 gs kicks those cards ass goodbye..

Thats the thing, while the 6xxx series might have more features than the Xline, no game exclusively uses SM 3.0. The biggest that does use it (AOE3)
must people do without becuase it extracts large preformance hits with very very little difference in IQ or game textures.

So your aim would be to pump out as many frames possible, yes the X8xx
would do this, depends on your flavor. If you have AGP or PCI-E.
Dont get me wrong though, the 6800GS is a helluva midrange card and
you should be pretty happy with it. Check some review sites for a start.

Lay off man. He didn't attack you personally nor did he say anything out of realism. I'm willing to admit what he said. As I have both a X800GTO and 6800GT and they run nearly at par. I'm sure you have both X800GTO and 6800GS, not to mention your clever enough to use SLI because it gives you a +200% performance increase. You should keep quiet or your going to attract more bears than you'd like.

I happen to have a x800GTO2, 6800GT, 6800GS, and had the x800 Pro, so yes I know what I'm talking about. And as for these "bears", bring it, everybody on these forums are a bunch of f*ckin morons anyways.

Smart enough to say I know more than you, and probably most if not all people on this forum. (obviously I know this is a Bold statement, but from reading posts on almost all 10,000+ post users, I realize they are just blabbing). Like I bet nobody here knew that Mountain Dew: Live Wire has 65mg of Sodium.

They joke around because its funny. When you know so much, it gets boring to be the expert.

OK, Encyclepedia Brown, Who the fuck is John Brown?

No, I don't mean that, I mean people like ltcommander_data who write 10 paragraph essay posts about computer architectures when after the first 10 words, you realize he doesn't know wtf he is talking about. It really pisses me off because than he comes off as some expert, which I most certainly guarantee he is not.

There are thousands of people named John Brown, be more specific.

More like whenever they go to google.com and memorize what some site said about computers and they post it back here.

and, John Brown was a man of action -- a man who would not be deterred from his mission of abolishing slavery. On October 16, 1859, he led 21 men on a raid of the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia. His plan to arm slaves with the weapons he and his men seized from the arsenal was thwarted, however, by local farmers, militiamen, and Marines led by Robert E. Lee. Within 36 hours of the attack, most of Brown's men had been killed or captured.

Or they just happen to work with computers as a hobby or actually have connections with people who design the shit.

What did he actually do though? Wikipedia doesn't always know more than the blatant facts.
