Hi,

Plextor PX-608U is ~ 2 months in the wild, but I can't find any real tests or reports about it. Has anyone tried it already?

I want resp. have to buy myself a external DVD writer (USB or FW) (have decided the 2nd hard drive is more important), but I don't want to carry a 'brick' with me. So what I'm looking for is a slim external DVD writer. If you know of a good alternative to the PX-608U, please let me know.

I'm a bit puzzled that the drive is missing from US sites like shopping.com or amazon.com, but can be found in almost all EU computer shops like amazon.de (and still without rating)... :?
